OUR NEW INSULATED WINTER PARKAS
FIG is back with a new line of insulated outerwear. These top-of-the-line down parkas make no sacrifice on warmth and style. Find out all there is to know about these highly comfortable urban jackets.
STYLE
At FIG, elegance is always a priority. We wanted to create winter parkas that were stylish and flattering, hence the importance of creating tailored and sophisticated silhouettes. Our jackets also incorporate rich elements of design: luxurious fabrics, asymmetrical front closures, faux suede pullers and super sleek METALUXE® YKK® zippers. It's all about the details!
WARMTH
FIG’s new parkas are insulated with 650 fill power RDS certified down. Down insulation is very warm, lightweight and highly compressible. Each ounce of down has about 2 million fluffy filaments that interlock and overlap to form a protective layer of still air that keeps the warmth in and the cold out. No need to worry about down leaks: the fabrics we use are down proof. You won’t see feathers come out at the seams anytime soon!
We also made sure to include design elements that provide optimal warmth. Each jacket has a large insulated hood, stretch rib knit cuffs and super soft handwarmer pockets. The HAD and the HEM jackets even have an inner down insulated quilted bib, for extra warmth! Finally, the fabric for our three parkas is windproof!
WATER RESISTANCE
Water resistance also contributes to warmth. We apply an 80/10 durable water repellent (DWR) to the outer surface of our fabrics to keep rain and snow out. This type of DWR offers excellent protection - perfect to face Canada’s harsh winter climates. Note that without a DWR, a jacket’s exterior could become waterlogged and heavy. This isn’t the case with our outerwear.
BREATHABILITY
Our parkas are also made from a breathable fabric. The shell of the jacket is built with a polyurethane (PU) membrane (10K waterproofing / 10K breathability) that keeps moisture vapour from getting trapped inside the jacket, and allows for perspiration to circulate - key elements to your overall comfort and warmth.

Quality is a big part of our brand DNA. We put a lot of thought and care into choosing the right materials and practices, both from an ethical and durable standpoint.
We work with RDS certified down. The Responsible Down Standard certification guarantees an ethical treatment of animals and traceability in the down supply chain.
In an effort to limit our environmental impact, we also use an "eco DWR’’, a C6 short chain finish that is less damaging to the environment than conventional DWR treatments.
Finally, our winter parkas are timeless and built to last. A sound investment for winters to come!
