FIG is happy to collaborate with Lenzing™ for a fourth season to offer high quality fabrics that are respectful of the environment. The company based in Austria is internationally renowned for its innovative fibres. It is a true leader in the industry in terms of quality and sustainability. It goes without saying that this partnership is in perfect harmony with FIG’s core values!
One of our favourite fabrics is, without a doubt, TENCEL®. It is composed of Lyocell, a fibre made from the pulp of eucalyptus trees that grow in FSC® certified forests, a renewable and sustainably managed resource. Moreover, Lenzing uses a closed loop process to produce TENCEL®, which lowers its environmental impact and makes it possible to recycle close to the totality of the solvent and water used to transform wood into textile.
On the more technical side, the TENCEL® fabric is cool on the skin and perfect for hot summer days. The fabric absorbs moisture completely and releases it to the outside. This naturally inhibits bacteria formation and controls odour.
